I launched Purple Owl Consulting in February 2021.
For twenty years before that I held a variety of roles at Insights Learning and Development, a company and career that I really loved because of the people, the product and our purpose.
I spent a decade on the Executive Board, as Director of Customer Experience and before that as Director of Marketing and Product. During this time, I was responsible for defining the customer strategy that contributed towards Insights more than quadrupling in size in both revenue and profit, and transforming from a small business to an industry leader. In my final role at Insights, I led a team of more than eighty amazing human beings in multiple geographies.
Before joining the Insights board, I held senior roles there in sales, consulting and solution design, giving me both breadth and depth (and a forever belief) in the art and science of developing human potential and talent.
Two of my favourite legacies from my time at Insights are originating the concepts of the 'Customer Love Story' and the 'Legendary Customer Experience', contributing to sustained industry-beating customer satisfaction scores. We loved our customers and worked hard to help them love us back!
I’ve worked with employees and clients all over the world, including some of the world’s best-known global brands. I understand how to adapt my style to influence and connect with leaders with different backgrounds, contexts and cultural perspectives.
In the early years of my career, I worked in management development at British Airways. Then I set up my own L&D business. Following that I moved into sales and account management for Mars Confectionery.
I live in Rugby, England with the love of my life, Alan. I’m a dedicated runner, an avid reader and journal writer and a committed biscuit (cookie!) enthusiast!
